Garden Eden

About Garden Eden

Evening is the watering hour in Lafayette, when the heat lets go and the light comes level across town. Garden Eden works into it — mowing, trimming, bed edging, mulch and seasonal cleanups — leaving lawns and borders in the dark, tidy green a yard only holds at dusk. There is a gardening streak in this town, visible in the community garden plots and in the front yards that clearly get talked about at dinner. The ground here is dry and generous by turns; tend it right and it hands back a whole summer of color. The last pass of the day is always the one you would want a neighbor to see.
