About Allen Property Improvement LLC

March is the month that tests a driveway in Lafayette — snow that arrives wet and heavy off the plains, piling up in the hours before anybody's alarm goes off. Allen Property Improvement LLC is out in it, plowing and shoveling drives and walks along South Boulder Road and the streets that feed it, so the first car of the morning rolls out onto bare concrete. Come May the same properties want mowing, trimming and clean edges, and the work turns green and loud and warm. Two halves of one year, one crew, the same yards. There is a real satisfaction in knowing a place well enough to tend it in both weathers.
