About SP Services

The San Luis Valley is a floor of light — seven and a half thousand feet of flat laid between the Sangre de Cristos and the San Juans, with La Jara sitting square in the middle of it. SP Services works the winter side of that country, plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways and farm approaches once a dry, powdery valley snow has filled the furrows. Cold comes down hard on clear nights and doesn't let go, so what softens at noon turns to glass by six and gets treated accordingly. There's a stark satisfaction in a straight black drive cut through a white potato field with the mountains standing behind it. The valley hides nothing, so the work has to be honest.
