By four o'clock on a July afternoon the thunderheads are already stacking white and enormous over the Front Range, and everyone in Keenesburg is watching the west. H2 Enterprises mows and trims between those storms, reading the sky the way plains people always have and getting the stripes laid down clean before the first fat drops hit the dust. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming and hauling off the clippings, plus the cleanups that bracket a growing season at both ends. What it adds up to is a yard that reads as intentional — lines running true, borders sharp, the grass standing green against a great deal of buff-and-gold country. Few things look better at dusk out here than a fresh-cut lawn cooling off while the storm slides north and misses town again.
