Nies' Tree Care

About Nies' Tree Care

Out where Tomichi Creek comes down into the hay meadows, the cottonwoods stand in loose ranks along the water and take the whole weather of the valley on themselves. Nies' Tree Care tends those and the town trees too — trimming for clearance along the main street, pruning young stock so it will hold up to a mountain winter, and removing trunks a spring wind has already half-decided about. Runoff season turns the ditches loud and the ground soft, and that is when you learn which roots have been doing the holding. Look up at the W on the hillside on a clear May afternoon and the valley is green in a way it will only be for a few short weeks. The work here is measured in brief seasons and very long views.
