Cabin Works

About Cabin Works

Half the doors around Lake Granby stay dark on a Tuesday and fill up by Friday night, and someone has to make sure the drive is open when the headlights finally swing in. Cabin Works handles that side of winter — plowing, shoveling walks and steps, and clearing the drift away from doorways so a cabin can actually be lived in during February. Storms come over the Continental Divide and settle into the lodgepole in a hush, filling a lane a foot at a time between visits. Clearing down to the gravel, stacking banks where they will not shed back, cutting a clean path toward the woodpile — that is the whole job, and it is a good one. Snow removal for cabins and homes along the lake country above Granby.
