Amy's Alpine Gardens

About Amy's Alpine Gardens

In Granby the growing season arrives late and leaves early, and every green week has to count. Amy's Alpine Gardens works that narrow window — mowing, edging, trimming and seasonal cleanups on lawns that spend half the year under snow and the other half reaching hard for the light. Mornings start cold even in July, with frost sitting in the low spots along the Fraser until the sun clears the ridge; by mid-morning the mower is running and the cut lines are coming up straight. There is real satisfaction in a stand of turf that holds its color against thin mountain air and afternoon thunder off the Divide. Lawn care for homes and cabins around Granby, where a tidy yard at nearly eight thousand feet is its own small victory.
