About Shady Grove Tree Care, Inc.

Some nights in Golden the wind comes straight down off the foothills and works on the trees until morning. Shady Grove Tree Care, Inc. answers the calls that follow — a ponderosa limb across a driveway on Golden Gate Canyon Road, a cottonwood split at a bad fork, blue spruce carrying dead wood buried deep inside. Trimming in this town is a question of weight and wind: take out what the next gust would take anyway, and leave the leader strong. Removal comes last, when a tree has stopped being a tree, and the open sky where it stood takes a little getting used to. Spring here is short and steep and green, and a canopy pruned in March is ready the moment it arrives.
