South Table Mountain catches the first sun in Golden — a flat rim going pink while the streets below still hold their frost. Environmental Designs works both ends of the year beneath that skyline, cutting, edging and clearing through the growing months, then plowing and opening walks when the storms stack up. Grounds here have to look composed in July and stay passable in January, and the same hands see to both. There is pride in a lot that drains right, an edge that holds its line, and a bay pushed clean before the first arrival of the day. Golden, Lakewood, Arvada and Wheat Ridge fall inside the round.
