Elk Creek Lawn & Tree Care.

About Elk Creek Lawn & Tree Care.

Late August in the hills west of Golden: nights cold enough for a jacket, grass that has stopped sprinting, light gone long and gold by six. Elk Creek Lawn & Tree Care. keeps lawns on that mountain schedule — mowing, trimming, edging, overseeding the thin spots and clearing a canyon's worth of leaves when they let go. Up where the pines begin, a lawn is an argument with slope and shade, and it deserves an even cut for the trouble. The line between mown grass and wild meadow ought to look intended, and walking that edge well is the pleasure of the job. Golden, Genesee, Evergreen and the roads that stitch them together.
