Georgetown is packed into a narrow slot of the Clear Creek valley — a silver town of painted Victorians with the creek running loud through the middle of it and bighorn sheep picking along the cliffs above the highway. The yards here are small, shaded and steep, wedged between old board fences and stone walls where Guanella Pass begins its climb. D&D Tree and Landscape Services handles that ground: mowing and trimming, edging along the old walks, tree and shrub pruning, bed upkeep, and carrying cuttings out of alleys most trucks will not fit down. Come late September, when the aspen on the pass turn and the entire canyon lights up, a finished yard in Georgetown looks as if it were set there when the town was young and simply kept ever since.
