The name holds the two halves of the year. Blade is May through September in Four Square Mile, weekly mowing and edging and trimming, the green kept even through long weeks without rain. Leaf is late October into November, when a warm wind slides down off the mountains overnight and strips the elms bare into every corner of the yard. Leaf and Blade Landscape takes that end of it too: raking and hauling the drifts out of beds and fence lines, clearing turf so the grass is not smothered under a wet mat all winter, aeration and a closing feed before the ground shuts for good. Two seasons, one lawn, looked after the whole way through.
