About HIGH ELEVATION EXCAVATION & MECHANICAL LLC

Summer in Fort Garland is a dry, high-desert affair: rabbitbrush along the roadsides, the valley floor shimmering in the heat, and the Culebra Range lining the southern horizon. Grass that stays green here, at nearly eight thousand feet, is grass somebody has fought for. HIGH ELEVATION EXCAVATION & MECHANICAL LLC is an excavation and mechanical business that takes on lawn care in Fort Garland, with mowing and trim work that makes a yard read as tended against the open sage. The name fits: this is work done under thin air and a sun that bites. Late on a July afternoon, with the wind easing and cottonwood shadows stretching across a mown lawn, a yard feels like a small green harbor in all that space.
