East of Timberline the town gives out into open ground, and on a windy night the snow doesn't so much fall as travel — sideways, in ropes, across the roads out by Riverbend Ponds. Coming back a second time isn't a failure out here; on the east side of Fort Collins it is simply the job. What people want is to open a door and find the day already cleared for them.
