Morning arrives in Fort Collins from the east, out over open plain, and by the time it reaches the hogback the town is already moving. In winter Hunters Lawn Care is out ahead of that light — blade down, headlights on, driveways and walks opened before the first commuter turns onto College Avenue. Come summer the same routes go green, and the work becomes mowing lines laid straight and edges cut so clean the sidewalk looks poured yesterday. There is a plain satisfaction in a yard that reads as cared-for from the street, and a plainer one in a drive nobody had to shovel. Snow or grass, the aim doesn't change: you step outside and the day is already easier.
