Late in the summer the grasses along the ditch banks east of Fort Collins go to seed and catch the low sun, foxtails lit up like filaments. Foxtail Lawn and Landscape keeps the tended ground in order while the wild ground does that: mowing, trimming, edging and cleaning up the yards out toward Fossil Creek and Timnath. When the year turns, those same properties need clearing instead of cutting — plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks, handling ice that sets in overnight. Winter light out east is enormous and flat, and a cleared drive standing in it looks like a decision somebody made on purpose.
