About Delacruz

Vine Drive at seven in the morning smells like cut grass and irrigation water most of the summer, and that is the sound Fort Collins makes when it is being looked after. Delacruz mows, trims and edges through those months and hauls off whatever the season sheds, yard after yard, on a route that doesn't skip. When the weather changes the route holds: plowing, shoveling, clearing walks so the same houses can get out in the morning. Winters here give you snow and sun on the same day, which means clearing early, before the melt turns into a sheet at dusk. It is steady, repetitive work, and the streets show it.
