About Big Snow LLC

Some Januaries the sky simply keeps handing it down — eight inches, then six more on top before anyone has finished coffee. Big Snow LLC is built for those weeks, when the roads go under drifting and the drives off them need opening twice in a day. The trucks run through the dark, headlights swinging across the trees, stacking piles back far enough that February will still have somewhere to go. When the people who live there are away in the deep cold, there is a quiet pride in pulling into an empty yard and leaving it just as clean as an occupied one. Lots, turnarounds, the tight squeeze between a garage and a shed — all of it gets the same pass. When the storm finally lifts and the sky goes that hard, scrubbed blue, everything is already passable.
