About Green Horizons Turf & Tree Ltd

Out on the plains of Kit Carson County, Flagler's grain elevator rises over the town, and at sunrise it lays a long shadow across the wheat. This is wide-sky country along I-70, where the wind seldom rests and every lawn and shade tree has been coaxed out of short-grass prairie. Green Horizons Turf & Tree Ltd brings turf and tree care to Flagler, the mowing and tending that keep grass dense and green through the dry heat of a plains summer. Trees are part of the name for good reason here, since the windbreaks and shade trees are what make a homestead livable. For a moment each spring the horizon really is green, when the view from a newly mowed yard runs straight out to the first flush of winter wheat.
