The road west out of Erie runs straight at the mountains, and when a storm comes down that way it arrives all at once. Boulder Landscape and Design runs the snow side of things here: plowing drives, clearing walks, and treating the ice that lingers in the shade of a north-facing garage long after the sky has gone blue. The best part of the job happens before anyone sees it — headlights, a blade, a driveway opened while the town is still asleep and the range is only a darker line in the dark. By the time coffee is poured the car backs out onto clean concrete. That is the entire point of the trade, and it never gets old.
