Ellicott is shortgrass and sky — Highway 94 running east out of the Springs, Pikes Peak sitting small and white on the horizon behind you. Weather crosses this prairie with nothing to slow it down, so snow here is less a question of depth than of wind and the drifts it builds against every windbreak, fence and outbuilding. Cut To Fill LLC plows through all of it: drives and lots opened wide, walks cleared, hardpack treated where the low sun never quite wins.
