Over by Citizens Park the big canopies close across the street in summer, and every yard beneath them lives on filtered light and whatever comes down in November. The Giving Tree Service keeps those lawns going, with mowing on a weekly round, trimming and edging, clearing leaves and fallen twigs, and cleanups at both ends of the season. Under mature shade the grass wants a taller cut and a lighter touch, and the autumn leaf load wants hauling off rather than chopping in. Beds get weeded, walks get blown clean, and the gate gets shut on the way out. It is unhurried work in some of the prettiest shade in the neighborhood.
