Lupine runs blue along the road toward Vallecito in early June, thickest in the ditches where runoff still lingers, and by then the lawns down in Durango are already asking for a second cut. Lupine Lawn Care follows both directions — mowing, trimming and edging right through the green months, with cleanups at either end — then comes back in a different truck once the road out to Forest Lakes goes white. Winter means driveways and lots plowed open, walks and steps shoveled, and ice handled where the shade never quite lets go. Bayfield and the east valley keep their own weather, often a good deal more of it than town gets. Either season, the work finishes the same way: a place that is usable, and easy on the eyes.
