Half the driveways around Dillon are pitched like a ski run, and gravity is the whole problem: snow slides, meltwater runs, and by morning the grade is glass. Slope Maintenance takes those on — plowing steep approaches, clearing switchbacked walks, and laying ice melt right where a hillside drive meets the road and a car actually has to stop. Wind off the Gore Range scours some faces bare and loads others waist-deep, so no two properties on a street drift alike, and you end up learning each one by heart. There is real pride in watching somebody back down a cleared pitch at dawn without a second thought about it. Winter work here comes down to the twenty feet that matter most.
