303 Lawn and Landscape

About 303 Lawn and Landscape

Sunrise here arrives flat off the plains, lighting the east windows of Four Square Mile long before the mountains west of town pick up any color at all. 303 Lawn and Landscape likes that first cool hour, when the bluegrass is still damp and a mower lays down a stripe you can read from the sidewalk. Mowing, edging, string trimming along fence lines and walks, then a clean blow-down so the concrete finishes bright against the green. A mile and change above the sea the air pulls moisture out of everything, so aeration, overseeding and feeding matter on these blocks, and weed control goes down before the dandelions claim the street. By evening, when the cottonwoods along the High Line Canal go gold at the tips, a yard cut that morning still looks like somebody meant it.
