About Western Slope Tree Services

Grand Mesa stands over Delta to the north, flat-topped and dark with timber, and the orchards below run in green lines toward the painted brick walls downtown. Western Slope Tree Services works that irrigated ground — pruning fruit wood and shade trees, trimming crowns away from power drops and rooflines, pulling out the elms and box elders that seed themselves into every fence row. On a small-town lot a removal means putting nothing where it isn't wanted, so it goes rope, saddle, and time instead of a straight fall. Spring wind here can strip a tree in an hour, and the day after, they are out with the chipper putting streets and yards back the way they were. Come August, the shade under a well-kept tree is the best room in the house.
