Two guys, one trailer, a Saturday route through Dakota Ridge. Gate down, mowers off, one takes the open ground while the other runs the trimmer along the fence and the walk. Edges cut, clippings blown off the concrete, gate up, next street — and behind them the yards sit striped and even in that flat mountain light. Spring and fall they add the cleanups, hauling out whatever the winter and the cottonwoods left behind. None of it is complicated. Done every week without fail, it is what a good block looks like.
