For about ten days each September the aspens toward Kebler Pass go so gold that the light under them looks borrowed, and everyone in Crested Butte knows what follows it. Paradise Lawn & Snow works both ends of that turn: mowing, trimming, edging and fall cleanup while the ground is still open, then plowing, shoveling and sanding once the pass shuts and the valley settles into deep winter. Knowing a property in summer makes the winter work better — you already know where the walk bends, where the culvert is, where a bank cannot go. Come May the plow piles retreat, the debris gets raked out, and the same yards are brought back to green. One place, two very different jobs, done by people who see it all year.
