About Lacy Construction Company Ltd

In July, Crested Butte is Colorado's official wildflower capital, but from November on the town belongs to snow, banked soft and deep along Elk Avenue until the bright-painted storefronts peer out over white walls. Lacy Construction Company Ltd takes on the snow in this old coal-mining town ringed by the Elk Mountains. Storms march down the Slate River valley and can leave a foot or more by daybreak, enough to erase the outline of a parked car. Clearing it means opening drives, paths and entries so everyone can reach the shuttle, the post office and the coffee counter on time. There is pride in a cleared path running straight and clean beneath the dark pyramid of Mount Crested Butte.
