About Hortus Tree & Landscape Services, Corp.

The westside sits right up against the red rock, and when snow comes the streets below Gold Camp Road hold it in the ridge's shade long after everything east of Eighth Street has dried. Hortus Tree & Landscape Services, Corp. handles the winter side of that geography — driveways, entries and walkways opened on the steep lots near Red Rock Canyon, where a few inches of packed snow turns a slope into a decision. The work is early and deliberately repetitive: clear, treat, then come back when the sun swings around and the melt refreezes. A cleared drive against wet red sandstone is one of the better sights this town offers in January. Snow moves through fast here; the whole job is being ahead of it.
