The Grass Company

About The Grass Company

On a June evening the light in Colorado Springs goes long and gold across the grass at Memorial Park, and every mown lawn in town picks up the same low glow. The Grass Company works toward that hour — cutting, edging, trimming so a yard has something to show when the sun finally leans. Turf at this elevation lives under a thin, bright sky and asks to be handled accordingly, so the blade stays sharp and the height stays honest. The edge along a walk is cut straight, the borders are trimmed close, and the clippings are cleared off the concrete. It is a simple result and a deeply satisfying one: a yard that looks composed from the sidewalk.
