About Alpine Landscaping

West of town where Bear Creek comes down out of the foothills, October turns the Gambel oak the color of old brick and the lawns hold one last flush of green. Alpine Landscaping mows and maintains yards along that foothill edge and throughout Colorado Springs, where thin soil and grade mean turf grows unevenly and has to be read rather than simply cut. Mowing at a height that lets grass shade its own roots, trimming around boulders and creek stone, an edge that follows a curve instead of arguing with it. Fall cleanups take oak leaf and pine needle off the lawn before the first wet snow presses it flat, and aeration opens ground that summer packed tight. There is a real satisfaction in a foothills lawn that looks like it belongs on the shoulder of a mountain.
