Watch Grand Mesa in October and you can see winter walking downhill: white along the rim first, then the aspen benches, and then one morning Cedaredge wakes up under it too. Ramsay Lawn and Landscape Services meets that arrival with a plow, clearing driveways, walkways and lots so the town can get moving on schedule. Then the melt comes off the Mesa, the ditches fill, and the same crews are back out mowing, edging and trimming through a long green valley summer. Two halves of one year, and both of them end with a place looking cared for. There is a quiet pride in a drive cleared to bare concrete in January and a lawn cut arrow-straight in July.
