Every December the star goes up on the butte, and from most of town you can look northwest and find it hanging over the rimrock in the cold. RMPS Landscaping of Castle Rock works underneath it all winter — plowing driveways, opening walks and steps, salting the ice that lingers on the north side of a house where sun does not land again until March. When foot traffic returns to Rock Park and the grass greens up, the trailers switch over to mowing, edging, trimming and the cleanups at both ends of the growing season. The name says where the work comes from, and the work stays close to home. Castle Rock, with Sedalia, Franktown and Larkspur nearby.
