Late on a January night Wilcox Street is empty and the streetlights make the falling snow look slow. That is when the blade goes down. Blade Professional Services runs the Castle Rock winter shift — plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks and steps, treating the ice that forms where meltwater crosses a sidewalk. In the warm half of the year the same crew holds the mowing, edging and trimming schedule together. One name, two kinds of clean line: the one a mower leaves in June and the one a plow leaves at three in the morning.
