About Grinnan Construction

Out here snow rarely falls straight down. It arrives sideways off the plains north of Burlington, crosses I-70 in long white ribbons, and by daybreak it has piled somewhere the sky never intended — packed against a garage door, filling a county-road cut fence-post deep. Grinnan Construction plows driveways, lots and walkways around town while most of Kit Carson County is still dark and the wind is still deciding. The payoff is a black strip of pavement at first light and a pickup that pulls out without anybody reaching for a shovel. When the thaw comes, the same wind that built the drifts dries the ground again, almost apologetically.
