About 7 Brothers LLC

Winter arrives in Brighton from the open east, flat and unhurried, and the first hours after a storm belong to whoever is willing to be awake for them. 7 Brothers LLC runs its plows while the porch lights are still the brightest thing on the block, working the side streets off Bromley Lane one drive at a time. Snow removal out here is mostly a matter of timing: open the concrete before the alarm clocks go off, cut a square path to the mailbox, treat the walk so nobody has to think about it. There is a plain kind of pride in a driveway scraped down to gray, banked neat on both sides. By the time the sun clears the horizon over the plains, the day is already free to begin.
