South of town the road climbs toward Hoosier Pass, and the wind crosses Goose Pasture Tarn with nothing at all to slow it down. Kent Hart provides snow plowing, driveway and walkway clearing, shoveling and sanding for Breckenridge and the Blue River valley. Storms that stall against the Divide can snow for two days straight, so the route gets run, and then run again, before anyone needs to leave the house. Steep drives, blind turns and mailboxes buried under three feet all get learned once and remembered after that. A cleared driveway at dawn, with the pass still socked in overhead, is the whole point of the night.
