About Ramos Landscaping

Out at DeLaney Farm the old round barn still stands against the plains wind, a reminder that Aurora was pasture and irrigation ditch before it was avenues. Ramos Landscaping tends lawns a few blocks from there, in the older grid off Havana Street where the shade trees lean over the sidewalks. Late spring is the test: a June hailstorm can strip a yard in a matter of minutes, and what follows is patient work — mowing, trimming, hauling out the wreck of shredded leaves until green comes back up through it. What gets left behind is straight lines and a clean edge along the drive. It is a small order imposed on a very big sky, and it holds.
