Agustin's Snowplow and Concrete

About Agustin's Snowplow and Concrete

March is the month that catches Aurora off guard: heavy, wet snow that bows the branches over East Colfax and turns a flat driveway into a foot of gray slush before breakfast. Agustin's Snowplow and Concrete meets it with a blade, a shovel and a clear sense of where the meltwater will run once it lets go. Drives and lots get plowed, entries and steps get opened, and the shaded north side that never sees sun gets treated so it does not glaze over at dusk. Knowing concrete helps here; you learn to read the pitch of a slab, push with it, and leave the surface the way it was poured to be. Aurora winters arrive in bursts, and each burst gets the same attention, here and over into Denver, Commerce City and Centennial.
