About Lucas Tree Services

By late July the San Luis Valley builds its afternoons — anvil clouds standing over the Great Sand Dunes, a curtain of rain walking across the potato fields, and wind that finds the weak limb in every windbreak. Lucas Tree Services works those weeks: storm damage cleanup on farmsteads and on Alamosa's town blocks, hauling out the break and then reading what is left overhead. Pruning and trimming through the season keep a shelterbelt or a yard tree from becoming the next call, and removals clear the trunk that has been dying back for years. In country this open, a row of trees is not decoration — it is shelter for a house and everything around it. Leaving a place better braced for the next storm is the whole job.
