Mario's Hauling

About Mario's Hauling

Zayante sits deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Zayante Creek runs under tall redwoods there, and by late afternoon the light reaches the ground in long, slanting bars. A yard up here collects the forest: needles, strips of bark and fallen limbs drift onto the grass after every gust off the ridge. Mario's Hauling handles that mountain kind of lawn care, mowing whatever patches of green the canopy allows, raking out the debris and carting away what the trees let go. The sandy hillside soil drains fast and the first autumn storms can hit hard, so a tidy yard here is one kept a step ahead of the weather. Once the work is done, the lawn opens up again under the redwoods, clean and bright, with the creek still murmuring somewhere below.
