About AR Landscaping

First light in the Morongo Basin comes in sideways, sliding down off Warren Peak and turning the granite the color of apricot before the day gets serious about heat. That is when AR Landscaping likes to be working — mower already warm, the air still holding a little of the night. Out here a lawn is a small act of insistence, and it deserves an edge cut clean enough to run a finger along. The work is mowing, trimming, edging, pulling weeds out of the decomposed granite and raking the clippings so nothing is left blowing off toward Black Rock Canyon. By the time the ravens are up and arguing over the rooflines, the yard is done and the day belongs to whoever lives there.
