About Valley View Landscape

Morning in Yountville begins under a low quilt of fog that drifts up-valley from San Pablo Bay, and by mid-morning it lifts to show the Mayacamas on one shoulder and the Vaca hills on the other. Valley View Landscape works the green floor between them — mowing, edging, and keeping lawns fed and weeded in a town where the vine rows run right up to the backyards. February paints the valley with wild mustard; July turns the hillsides the color of straw while a well-watered lawn holds its cool square of green against the heat. There is a particular satisfaction in a clean line of turf beside a gravel path, in clippings raked and beds tidied before the afternoon sun leans in. From Yountville the crew ranges the Napa Valley corridor, leaving each yard sharper than the light found it.
