About K & D Landscaping, Inc.

Fog off Elkhorn moves inland early, and on those mornings the south end of the valley is white to the knees with egrets working the ditches. K & D Landscaping, Inc. is out in it — mowing damp grass, edging, trimming shrubs and hedges, pulling weeds and taking the cuttings away. Wet air makes for a heavier load and a sharper smell; the clippings come off bright green. By noon the fog has burned back to the bay, the yards are finished, and everything looks a shade brighter than it did at seven. That is a good morning's work in this part of California.
