About Gonzales Landscaping

Out toward Sunset State Beach the dunes hold the fog longer than the fields do, and the ice plant is still wet past ten in the morning. Gonzales Landscaping works the yards on that windward side of town, where salt air is simply part of the arrangement — mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and taking the green waste off the property. Coastal grass grows patchy if it is left alone; a regular cut keeps it thick and level. There is a particular reward in leaving a lawn that looks calm in a place where the wind never quite is. From some of these driveways you can hear the surf.
