Blades of Glory, Synthetic Lawns & Putting Greens

About Blades of Glory, Synthetic Lawns & Putting Greens

By late July the grasslands out on Shell Ridge have gone the color of straw, and the hills stay that way until the rain finds its way back over the coast range. A backyard does not have to follow them. Synthetic lawns and putting greens hold their line through the hottest stretch of the Diablo Valley calendar — flat, even, ready for bare feet at four in the afternoon when the pavement is still radiating. Blades of Glory, Synthetic Lawns & Putting Greens builds those surfaces and keeps the yard around them tidy: turf laid true to grade, cup and fringe set for a real roll, borders cut clean. There is a particular satisfaction in a green that looks the same in the middle of a Walnut Creek August as it does after a February storm.
