Araujo's Landscaping & Gardening

About Araujo's Landscaping & Gardening

After the winter rains, the Diablo Range west of Volta turns an almost impossible green, and for a few spring weeks the whole horizon looks freshly painted. Araujo's Landscaping & Gardening works through that brief, generous season and beyond it, tending gardens, mowing lawns and shaping shrubs in this small Merced County farm community. Mornings smell of wet earth and alfalfa, and meadowlarks sing from the fence posts along the country roads. Spring is when a garden here earns its color, and attentive gardening helps it carry that color into the long summer. A bed in full bloom against those green hills is the kind of view that makes the work worthwhile.
