Robert Fry’s Lawn Care

About Robert Fry’s Lawn Care

October cools the valley overnight, and at sunrise Bell Mountain sits rose-colored above the rooftops while the Joshua trees north of town keep their long shadows a while longer. Robert Fry's Lawn Care takes the season as it comes: the last strong cuts of the year, edges reset, leaves and dry litter cleared out of the beds and off the gravel. Autumn work here is about tidiness more than growth — trimming back, pulling weeds before they seed, leaving the lawn short and even for the cold months. A mowed yard on a cold-bright Victorville morning has a particular kind of dignity to it. The reward is the drive-by look: clean lines, nothing straggling, the whole lot reading as one finished thing.
