About AAA Gardening

When March warms the rolling cattle range around Valley Springs, the hillsides break out in orange poppies and blue lupine, and every garden in town seems eager to join the show. AAA Gardening tends yards and gardens here at the foot of Calaveras County's oak hills, where Highways 12 and 26 meet. Spring is the time for turning beds, pulling the weeds that leap up after rain, and mowing while the soil is still cool and dark. By May the open hills have gone gold, yet a watered garden stays vivid against them, and that contrast is the reward. Gardening in Valley Springs means working with the foothills rather than against them, coaxing color from a place that loves the sun.
